Our Motto
"TOGETHER WE THINK ACT & GROW"
HOW WE WORK
INTEGRAL DEVELOPMENT APPROACH-
Our initiative has started at the grass roots. We have first started by recognizing and accepting that our society is comprising of different categories of people, different clans, and different sectors, and for us to realize any meaningful development we must embrace and practice integral development that cuts across all sectors, all aspects of life and every class of people.
We have therefore brought on board different clans coming from different regions, different faith and different categories of people in the society. In a
HOLISTIC DEVELOPMENT APPROACH a person needs to have an all-round development, physically, mentally, socially environmentally, politically and culturally, we have decided to design our programs along these lines.
RIGHTS BASED DEVELOPMENT APPROACH
Every nation speaks of Universal declaration on human rights. We feel this is very important but it is very ironical to speak of rights to people who can’t afford to meet their basic needs.
Ø Imagine preaching the right to food to a person who has gone hungry for the past one week in North Eastern Kenya
Ø Talking about freedom of speech and conscience to African dictators who want everything aired over the mass media censored by state agents.
Ø Talking about economic justice to a Kenyan population where China and some Western countries dump their substandard and cheap goods at the back yard of Kenya's upcoming vendors.
WHAT ARE WE DOING ABOUT THIS?
WE are trying every practical approach to human rights, for example,
Ø Right to food, by assisting people to unite and produce together, and while they are doing this, we introduce relevant rights.
Ø We engage relevant right based bodies to become more practical rather than theoretical.
Ø We engage the government ministries to incorporate practical rights in development
Ø We now look forward to engaging international world to be very practical in human rights development.
OUR DIRECTION
We have initiated and rolled out CORE VALUE FACILITATION whose main intention is to bring out inward core values in all development stakeholders.
We have initiated different development dialogues with different local partners to share out real concerns in development.
We are programming workable development plans to local organisations with the aim of reaching the international community as well.
We are engaging development organisations to look at the possibilities of facilitating rural industrialization in order to create wealth and employment at local levels.
We welcome cross cultural exchanges to open up more avenues for development.
We are calling upon world financial institutions to look at possibilities of partnering with grass root organisations rather than national institutions only.
We look at First World countries and all their citizens to value Africa as a potential partner not just s recipient of donations
THE ACTIVITIES OF MAMA THERESA REFLECT THE IDEALS ABOVE
MAMA THERESA CAN ONLY ACHIEVE THESE IDEALS THROUGH THE SUCCESSFUL ACTIVITIES OF ITS TRAINING WING UNIVERSAL COMMUNITIES FACILITATION & TRAINING (USFP)
Mama Theresa's Holistic Centre has achieved remarkable things.
In a community where people survive on less than $1 per day, poverty breaks down people/communities to a raw level of existence.

As a way of preserving the rich cultural heritage of the Luo community, a group of elderly community members have been co-opted to strengthen inter-generational dialogue.
The centre has an African cultural village aimed at promoting eco-tourism, cultural tourism and employment creation. Some of the old socializing games like the ajuaand bao feature at the centre.
The old women are engaged in making beads and pottery products. Literature, folklore and narratives are being used/recorded to preserve the cultural heritage.
The centre is developing cottages for accommodation.
